I just spoke to a rep and was informed that they now have a 30 day waiting period for this type of prescription. I wanted to know if anyone else had this same problem. I think most OPs finally realized that it was a huge problem when they tried to do this. Since this is one of the most popular new OPs, I wanted to get opinions about this. My last order was shipped on 8/29 and they can't process the refill until 9/30.

Same here...I received my first order on 9/3 and they are telling me that I cannot even request my refill until 10/3. I told the girl on the phone that I would be running out on the evening of the 2nd but she said "well, that's their new rule". I told her they were going to lose a lot of customers by not allowing us to get our refills before we run out but she didn't seem to care. She says this is the pharmacy's new rule. I tried to call the number of Clin. Sol. that is on my bottle but you have to know mailbox #'s or something. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get them to let us order our refills prior to running out!?

That sucks! Now I know why I haven't been able to refill, it's been exactly 25 days and no reminder.

OMG!!! You guys aren't going to believe this!!! I did finally get thru to Clin. Sol. and I asked the girl who answered the phone about their policy for not allowing refills until the 30th day. She asked what medication it was and I said Norco. She said because of all the laws, etc, that they would get in trouble if they dispensed it any earlier. I asked her why customers couldn't request it a few days before they run out so they don't experience withdrawals and she said that there wouldn't be any, that it is just a pain medicine!!! She said that there are a lot of people abusing this medication and that there are some people out there who use this medication every day and they take 4-6 pills a day!!!!! She kind of contradicts herself there! I just played dumb to hear what she had to say. I'm not using this company again...I had only tried them once anyway. Pretty sad though! I don't know if she was just inexperienced or what but she seemed so shocked when she said people out there take pain meds every day. Just thought I'd pass along this info!! TRS

Same thing with me. My 30th day is 9/28, a Sunday, and they wouldn''t even accept the refill request on Saturday even though it wouldn't ship until Monday after the 30 days.
But it is definately 30 days between requests for refills so the actual refills are going to take 31-32 days.
Not good.

I'm sure you all have noticed but at the risk of being too obvious the Fed is getting ready to start cracking down on this stuff. I have heard of subpenas being handed out and it seems that all the ones in Fl. where TropicalRX is are taking measures to make sure they don't get into big trouble. Many State pharmacy boards and such are getting into the act also and you are seeing more States that they will not ship to, etc. Like everything that is good it will probably get ruined and go back to just a few hard to find places. BTW I am new here well sort of I have read for a bit. I have suffered pain for years. Have a good Dr. that takes good care of me and if anyone is around Charlotte, NC I can help them with a doctor.
It also seems like every 6 months you will have to have a physical w/ lab work to buy on-line is that what you all are hearing?

For the BRAND, Vicodin ES the refill wait time is actually 40 DAYS!! This doesn't apply to generic, just brand (not sure why?) but again, 40 days!

Personally I wish ALL ops would follow the rules before they ruin it for all others. I think the Physical rule is once a year but I might be wrong.~

As I posted here earlier, I was told about the 30 days and I had to wait until the 28th to place my order. Well todays the 28th and when I tried to order the refill I got the message that "it was too early to refill this prescription".
I'm hoping it has something to do with it being a Sunday but who knows. I'll try again tomorrow and keep everyone posted.
If anyone has had the same experience let me know.

Here is some more news- If you thought the 30 day wait was bad, I have just learned that they have changed it. Now you have to wait 90 days to refill pain meds regardless of the quantity (30, 60 or 90). Looks like things are starting to come undone for the quickie, no records OP's.

Me too Grizzlypaw...well, I didn't receive an email, the new policy was rumored on another board, I don't believe everything I hear so I called to find out for myself and sure enough, the conversation went as follows:
TropRX rep: "TropicalRX, thank you for holding"...
Me: "Yes, I was wondering when I could refill my medication?"
Rep: "What TYPE of medication?"
Me: "Norco"
Rep: "It is our new policy that you must wait 90 days to refill ANY type of PAIN medication".
Me: "You're gonna lose alot of your business...thank you".
I have never heard of such a thing ~ 60 pills is supposed to last me 90 days?!

I had purchased and received my first and only order of hydro (90 10/500) from Tropical in July. It went smooth. They had even sent me an email reminder to refill after about a month. I didn't then, but tried to refill today and was denied! An error window said they couldn't process the order because it was too early to refill this prescription! It's been almost 3 months since I ordered from them.
I think the times are a changing. All these OP's are getting, rightfully so, scared.
If anybody's heard of a new source for hydro I'd love to hear. I'm w/out records so I'm somewhat limited. PM if you wanna keep it quiet
Take Care.
