sonick
screw a high school diploma!! I slept my way thru, but I did get one. But I too am intelligent in my own way with or without the diploma. I do not understand the working of the computer or any other electronics but I am in the process of raising three really cool young people and I can rebuilt a motor and cook an awesome ham dinner. Although I must say I do find it very interesting and would love to learn more one day. I do hope you feel better sonick.

Hey Sonick,
One of the most intelligent people I know does not have a high school education at all, my dad.
Some of the dumbest people I know (literally) have their Master's degrees.

BTW, I love "Best if kept off the griddle" and your posts always enlighten and brighten".

Now, if I could only learn how to cook. How do people do that? I could never survive without those meals in a box (now that's a great invention) sorry off on a tangent!!

SOnick, be sure to keep us updated on your project. It would be wonderful for you to become wealthy enough to not have to worry about earning a living!

I am also curious as to how your progress with biofeedback is coming along.

Thanks dollhog, I'm glad i'm still on your good side after the um........ what the heck was it anyway, OH that post I got all cranky about with the initials. 'Preciate the compliment I do enjoy your posts as well, even if I catch a personally touchy issue on a bad day and overreact. BTW, I can't cook either, another reason I'm probably sick, overloaded with all the "bad stuff" in processed food! I can't remember where I heard the term, but I like to use "educated idiots" sometimes. Just like everything in life, it's your true potential and most importantly character shine through IN APPLICATION. I wish I did have a better education but at 30 and having a disproportionate amount of problems with health I'm just like heck with it. For now anyway, just do my little project and try to knock it out.
Dollhog: I like the deep admiration for dad as well, that is a real inspiration in my life as well
Sorry ? No sorry. I'll veer off course right along with ya.
Let's go start political posts in the US/Feedback forum

antique! a very belated GRACIAS for your PM to me about telling me to shut my face..... you were TOTALLY right. The firm though is a top notch one, prepaid is just a referral service and payment collector, firm is #1 in downtown CHI, the buying power of all the prepaid clients is quite impressive. I was SHOCKED, you should check it out.....

Anyhow, everyone here that is good-hearted will benefit when this thing blows up. It's really pretty solid, I do think it's going to fly. AND, I have joined forces with a seasoned qualitative and quantitative research expert, and I will hopefully have some REALLY good biofeedback info for you soon. This gal is seriously like the academic-medical John Zogby of Stanford's medical research area. I am REALLY lucky to have her support. In my case, I feel this is the key to my complete remission, and will not be charging a dime for the data. Karma is the best payment. You're on the contact list already.......

Hey, first off thanks for the compliment.

Secondly, I would NEVER equate someone's initials to a hate group {that wasn't my post}. I just disagreed with her opinion passionately and my big mouth is never afraid to voice up.

Finally, I often think that what people define as "cranky" is passion. Passion for a subject, a belief, for whatever you think is important.

Hell if cranky is what that is then I must be cranky about everything. ha!ha!

Finally, intelligence is not reflected in a piece of paper. That's nonsense. Intelligence is yes inate, yes its learned, yes its selft-taught, its so many many things and comes in so many forms. However, a piece of paper has never and never will make anyone SMART. Only an individual and how they choose to see life, grasp everything in it there is to learn, and (my personal belief) have the ability to say "I don't know, do you?" is what makes an invdividual intelligent. Wanting to learn, seeking that knowledge (in oh so so many different forums), and admitting when we just really need help.

That's the beauty of this board. We all don't know everything, but we ask each other and collectively widen that particular sphere of knowledge that before was lacking.

Isn't that life, whether you read a book or meet someone new?

Those who must prove their smarts by a piece of paper have some serious insecurity issues. I can personally recommend a good therapist. ha!ha!

Have a great week!!!

Sonick, I know I was more delicate than that! It's just that I was reading your posts and I could hear this cracking sound kkkaakkk kaaaaaaakkkk and I just knew I had to act fast before the dam burst, and well then it would have been out there for everybody to see. We will all know and be able to appreciate in good time, but first things first. Keep me on your good karma list...just put me down as "antique" and they'll know who you're talking about.

Dear Sonick: I'm a self-taught (monkey typing) computer user, although I did take Fortran II back in the punch card days. I don't understand how your device works, but YES, I'd buy one.

BTW, the smartest people I knew are cattle ranchers in Kansas, including my grandparents and greatgrandparents, none of whom got through grade school. Like my Grandpa L used to say There are some people who don't have sense to come in out of the rain, a description which fits many with initials after their name. I'm the first of my cousins on both side of the family to complete college. Yet notice what I said earlier, the smartest people I knew were my grandparents.

Sonick you sound like a genius.

Oh, my real name isn't Nicola Tesla. ROTFL. Ho Ho.
