I have heard that you can do that on this board or another I read but I personally have never done this. Do you have records that you have access to? That would really be the best way to go, you can go to the better OPs thus getting enough pills to adequetly treat your pain. Hope this helps
Sometimes the doctor also needs to know that you have taken such meds in the past. I included a photocopy of a label in my records when I was needed a benzodizaepene for sleep and muscle relaxation, as well as copies of the records from my regular pharmacy showing that I had been prescribed a number of different meds for these conditions before and it was sufficient.
By the way, if the botttle says "for sleep" or "for anxiety/pain." that does sort of indicate a dX because the doctor wrote the script that way- affirming the you have insomnia/pain/anxiety. There is not really any harm in trying. Any honest OP will not charge you if they deem your medical records insufficient.

I highly doubt anyone would accept that as records. I dont see why anyone would need to do that to verify they took the medication anyway. If you have records , what the Dr prescribed you would be written in the records. ( maybe if one didnt have records that would prove he took the medication at one time , but it still wouldnt prove for what condition the medication was given for )
