I hear the phrase 'Dr. Shoppers' and think of somebody who is shopping for Docs., not seeing one or multiple for additional meds. Anyhow, Billy's right and while HIPAA will protect your MEDICAL RECORDS from being released from one Dr. to the next without your specific consent to do so... it does not preclude a pharmacy from verifying through a database whether you've filled an Rx or not. TOTALLY DIFFERENT SCENARIOS! I'm curious to get more info. on double dipping. I think I'll start a thread elsewhere about that
