I did pay the $9 dollars and they sent me a letter stating they did not find my name in there data base. But they added that an MIB record is created only if the following conditions exist: an application for life, health or disability insurance was submitted within the past seven years and the insurance company's underwriting the investigation showed condition which could affect heath or longevity it the name will not show up..it goes on to say that the fact that MIB has no record is not unusual, it has been our experience that out of every 100 applications only about 15 result in reports to MIB...so I am sure that I wasted the money but I am glad to find out I am no on one data base...this is primarily for insurance looks like....just wanted to update my experience...Boo
