I,m surprised the Armed Forces have not yet discovered Provigil. It is a non amphetamine "go pill" if you will with no jittery side effects. I was put on this because I have always had Excessive Daytime Sleepiness ( ECD) . I never knew it until my doctor took family history and symptoms, daily routine. I thought nothing of 90 min naps all my life as did my parents as well (genetic). I created havoc with college class schedules and work. I am taking it and I am awake at 2:30pm EST and I can also sleep my regular 9 hours a night. Big problem ....cost. My insurance picks up tab minus copay. One month supply $367.00!! But I would pay it anyday to get that much time back in my life. The drug gives you a sense of well being/energy/happy but not amped like other stimulants. It is a Schedule 4 drug for those interested.
