Its impossible for drugs to vary in quality, although ibuprofin needs to be coated and the coating could be different, but the other poster didnt say it hurt his stomach more, just that it didnt work well.
The myth of drug brands being different quality comes from people's experience with things like shampoos, cosmetics, foods, Etc. All of those things are a mixture of different ingredients in different ratios. thats why they can be different from each other. therefore people think everything can vary in quality. however, a drug is one single chemical and people dont understand that a molecue is a molecue and there can be no variation in quality, it either is, or it isnt, and i doubt any generic mis-synthesized the drug and put another chemical in there. there may be a slight variation in the amount of the drug in the pills from one brand to another.
