Oh, I don't doubt for a minute that the reason that she asked to see ID was because she wanted to make sure that the right person was picking up the prescription. About a month before that happened, my friend's husband went to pick up his prescription for a pain med, and when he got there, no script. They checked it out, and said it was already picked up by him earlier that day, but he kept insisting that it wasn't him. Turns out, when the pharmacy reviewed the security tape, his own brother-in-law was the one who not only picked up the script, but signed for it in my friend's husband's name! The Pharmacist wasn't there when it happened, and the Pharmacy technician must have had her rear end chewed out for it, so I think they make everyone show ID now, even if it's for allergy medication or antibiotics.
But my whole point was that this Pharmacy Technician knew me by my face, as I had been using that pharmacy for well over a year, and I guess it was my own fault for not pointing out the missing pills from my prescriptions, but like an earlier poster said, once you leave the store, there's nothing that they can do. I did tell the doctor who was prescribing me the meds what was going on over at that pharmacy and actually requested that she have it called in at a different one, because I didn't trust that place anymore after what happened not only with my prescriptions, but also because of what happened to my friend's husband. She must have called that pharmacy because I've heard through the grapevine that the Pharmacy tech who asked me why I looked so "nervous" isn't working there anymore. Don't know any more details than that, either she was fired, or maybe she quit after they chewed her out again, or better yet, prosecuted for what she was doing. I really don't give a rat's behind, because I don't use that pharmacy anymore, too many bad experiences with them IMO.
