Trust me, (I know you usually shouldn't trust anyone who says 'trust me' but... ) i've been using IOPs for a long, long time and have talked to some of these folks who like to brag in private about how much of a skim they can take from the cash, money-orders, etc that some customers send. I always use a credit card so i've never been particularly worried, but if you're sending a money order with NO NAME written in the :TO area of the check as some IOPs & e-mail sources require you to do, it's darn easy to pocket the cash and then when the customer complains they just keep saying "wait a few more weeks" until they stop responding to you or you give up or whatever. But truly, there are more than enough of these follks out there who never considered or cared to take VISA, know they can get more customers than they could possibly handle just by listing certain drugs on their site / med list, and they do take advantage of the more desperate folk who don't know that it's virtually impossible to get OxyContin online for any price, much less the GREAT SALE this e-mail guy has that's 5 80mg Oxys for $100. They can bring in a boatload of cash fast that way, with little recourse for the person who sent the money. All the scammed have is a postal address in the phillipines or serbia or somewhere, and a free yahoo e-mail account that they communicated to you thru. There are some very fine IOPs out there, but as time goes on their numbers are definitely dwindling. Just my 2¢ of course..
ETA: I forgot to address your last point, that Customs steals most meds anyway without sending a letter, that's crazy talk. In 10+ years of IOP use i've received 99.5% of all the orders i've placed (and that's a lot of orders), and besides the 2 places that took the money and ran, the other 2 missing orders were seized & I got the love letters from Customs. I wouldn't claim that customs doesn't steal anything, but to say that they steal most IOP orders is waaaay off.
