That's a really good question. Since there have been no other responces as yet, I'll share my experience for what it's worth.
I had high hopes for DHC, that it was, compensating for mg equivalency (30 mg of DHC in theory should be equivalent to 6 mg of Hydrocodone), as good as Hydrocodone. That is what I had read and would have been very happy had it been the case as I HATE acetaminophen.
To be honest, I was disappointed. First, the immediate release variety that Pharm88 has (the only place you can really get it) lasts like literally about 2 hours before a rather quick return to pain.
Maybe this is why this stuff is no longer made in the U.S. I could see the potential to pop pills quite freqently. Then again, I guess hydro's aren't that much better except the acetaminophen kind of limits how much you could take over the long term anyway. Your liver would rot long before you got into the level of a severe Oxycodone type additicion.
Second I found both the pain relief as well as the, ahem, "side effects" to be more similar to Codeine than Hydrocondone. It didn't work as well controlling my back and neck pain problems as Hydrocodone and made me tired and drowsy like Codeine.
Any other comments/experiences regarding this would be appreciated as I am curious what other people have experienced.
