mammy: welcome to the board. I know for a fact several triggers and that stress is a major one for me. I simply cannot do anything else about it. I get my hormone migraine for 5 days a month. I appreciate your input, and I know you'll love it here!
IM1: Injectible Imitrex was one of the first things I tried. This is back in 95 when it was only available in that form. And, you don't have to tell me the Phenergan burns, they burn like all get out! But, that's what the hospital always gives me, almost standard issue now. I don't think my doc now will give me anything that's Sch II. I wondered about asking them about the shots, but I guess I shouldn't. It's actually been a bit better since I had a scope and we've had me on some stomach meds. I think once I started throwing up, it may have worsened by my aggitated stomach. He also widened the area so I can swallow without food getting stuck.
Keystone, I agree with you, but I still have migraines that don't go away with the suppositories and Stadol NS. It's the vomitting that aggrevates the pain, and vice versa. I get highly distressed when in that state for too long. Sometimes even 3 hours is too long for me. I have water to drink when I get to the "point of no return" just so I save a little effort on my stomache with the spasms.
Night Shade: I know what you mean. One doc just looks at me and gives me Toradol (gives me a headache, so obviously doesn't help migraine) and a script for Esgic Plus. Esgic plus is a step BELOW the fioricet with codeine I usually take. Stupid doctor.
