And Tred, if Bush gets his way, it will be a national database if I understood correctly. So states won't provide privacy. THe point is deter doctor shopping and address the issue of obtaining the same medication from multiple doctors... a nationwide database.
The idea that the government has a right or obligation to monitor the people, and protect them from themselves, or track their habits, purchases, affiliations, is down right scary.
If Bush wants to amend the constitution, it shouldn't be to "protect" marriage, it should be to protect privacy.
