Far more effective for me than hydro. It also seems to be slower to develop tolerance. I don't know though, it's been well over a decade since I WASN'T on a long-acting higher eschelon opiate. But I recently had both Percocet and Vicodin after dental procedures. The Percocet didn't cause the restlessness or rebound headaches THIS time as the hydro did. BUT, Percocet has done both in the past. Maybe this is just another case of apples and oranges?
