Nerve Test and Results!
      02/13/04 12:48 PM

Hi all. I had my nerve test done this morning on my elbow. First I must say it was not painful at all.
While my ulnar nerve is not damaged it is irritated and being affected by scar tissue. However, I do have CT in both hands . I knew I had it in my dominant hand but did not know I had it in my injured arm. I have not filed my workers comp claim as I fear for repercussions. This doctor convinced me its absolute time to file as the CT is only going to get worse.
I now have 4 weeks until my next ortho appointment. Still not sure what kind of surgery will be done, he was planning on moving the ulnar nerve but now that the test shows no damage I fear it may go back to removing the radial head. I have to be honest that I wish I could get the CT fixed before the elbow. I have had the elbow injury for 11 years and the CT is new to the last 9 months> Its far more painful that my elbow at this time. Maybe perhaps I know the activities( well mostly) that my elbow doesn't like to perform and simply don't do them.Maybe living with the elbow pain for all these years I have almost gotten used to it. The CT ,however, I wake up with my hands asleep and simply using my hands hurts. I have to work and take care of my kids so simply not doing anything is impossible.

I wrote more than I intended as typing at a computer hurts as well.
Thanks for being here and listening. I am so grateful I have found a safe place to discuss my conditions
