My old prescription for the Fioricet #3 w/codeine was always blue and yellow but the generic is blue and gray, you just got the generic instead of the name brand. EMJ
That's half right. The blue and grey is generic Fioricet #3. But the Blue and Yellow is not name brand Fioricet it is Fiorinal #3. The only differnece is the yellow has asprin and the grey uses tylenol. Everything else is the same. One really odd thing is one is a schedule III the other Schedule IV. It is one of the oddball scheduled meds since the parts making is scheduled are the same, yet using Tylenol instead of Asprin pushes it from a C-IV to C-III???

PS: The Fiorinol actually works better for me. There is nothing in the Fioricet that reduces swelling and some headaches are at least in part caused by localized swelling
