Yes, my husband does have empathy towards me but he really just thinks that once we are done having kids that I should just have back surgery as a kind of "cure all" and be done with it. Life is not that simple, I am afraid. My mom had surgery on a couple of her discs and still has chronic pain (as do alot of people on this board). I'm not holding my breath for a miracle. My husband just doesn't want to keep shelling out over $100 a month on my meds. I don't blame him, but I have to be functional to take care of a two year old you know?! As for your mother-in-law suggesting that you take an aspirin to mask your pain...sounds alot like my MIL. Completely and without any clue! I would love it if I could get by on tylenol 3...not happenning anytime soon here, though!
