I agree, try a sleeping pill, but if you take it for 7 or more days, you will probably get addicted to that too and with fiornal, valium, xanax, norco and now sleeping pill, you will be a slave to them all. Mixing meds actually cause sleeping problems. Xanax and Valium are anti-anxiety pills and usually prescribed one or the other. Mixing that could be dangerous and doesnt make alot of sense. I wish you luck, but consider that taking the mix of meds you take now are the reason for the sleeplessness. I dont know the cause of your insomnia, its not likely pain since you have 2 pain meds and you have 2 tranquilizers, it may be in your head. I had a sleeping problem for 6 months, I took ambien and relaxor on and off and then I read into it and was able to fall asleep. You wont be able to sleep if you take sleeping medication for long periods of time without the meds, adding to your problems. I think every human in the world has had a couple restless nights and then try to focus to sleep and once you think about sleeping and how you actually fall asleep, waiting for it, it makes it worse. I find thinking about the next day or other things on the lighter side of life edges me into sleep. I also believe my cat has a part in it. He always sleeps next to me and I mean really close and his falling asleep helps me. Its almost weird sometimes when he doesnt come to lie next to me for longer than his usual 5 minute wait and once he lies down next to me, I can fall asleep easier. I hope this helps and I hope you don't think i am judging you or what you take, its your life. I just hope you can eliminate one med than add another. BTW, valium stays in your system 3 days at some levels, xanax may too, I dont know, which makes (can) you lazy opposed to a sleeping pill designed for 7-8 hours and no ill effects when it wears off
