Why is this preparation different to other cough preparations which contain hydrocodone as a cough suppresant (there are so many out there). Is it because of its strength? If hydrocodone is the active ingredient well there are cough preparations that contain hydrocodone, which are much cheaper then tussionex. I guess what I'm trying to say, what is the main reason justifying it's price tag? And what is the difference between hydrocodone bitartrate, hydrocodone hydrochloride, and hydrocondone polistirex. Don't they all do the same thing, just differ in the chelating agent they used to attach hydrocodone molecule to? I mean like you said you can purchase norco and chlor-trimeton separately at a cheaper price and just the combine the two to equate it to what in the tussionex. I mean $200.00 dollars is kind of steep for just some cough preparation. I would never pay that unless it was a life or death situation.
