That very thing happened to me years ago. I had a terrible flu and the sinus congestion was horrific. I started to use the nose spray, and then used some more and more, I then thought I must have the worst sinus infection anyone alive could have as I had to use this stuff constantly throughout the day and the night. I literally would wake every three hours and could not breath AT ALL through my nose unless I got a shot from the spray, eventually went to the doc as I was sure I was ill. He told me I was addicted to the spray and the ony way to clear it up was to stop using it and switch to a saline solution for a bit of comfort if I needed. It was horrible. YOur sinuses literally close completely up. It was a week before I could breath properly and night time was worst, there was very little sleep. I now steer clear of anything other than the saline sprays when I need them. And yes after about the third day I wouldn't use it anymore, Been through it and didn't like it Also when I have told people I was "addicted" to nose spray they kind of laughed and thouthg "Yea right" It does happen.
