Well, I didnt mean to sound condescending using the term "young and lazy". However, from my viewpoint, there is no gray area. Either your young and lazy or disabled. I guess I should have clarified that. There are a "few" people that are young and do have some sort of medical condition that they feel is disabling that the gov't does not. Not necessarily that they are lazy, just mislead by the system. There are SO many components that go into a disability decision from the amt of education you have, to your past work, to you current work, to your current medical condition. So, us as examiners have to evaluate everything. It gets much easier to get a check the older you get simply b/c SSA has divided the vocational levels into 4 categories too. Under 50, 50-55, 55-60, then 60-65. Most people under 50 find it hard to get disability for physical allegations alone. Anyways, no harsh feelings between anyone I hope. I guess you can say I'm a little bitter. That is why I got my RN recently. I want to do case management but not for the gov't or SSA.
