Mine went through as a cash advance. Western Union on-line also billed my credit card three times from two different offices for the same, single money transfer! Had a heck of a time trying to get my money back from W.U. They completely denied placing the extra charges on my c.c. even after I faxed them a copy of my c.c. bill showing three seperate charges for the same money transfer. Finally had to get my credit card company to settle the dispute and I got my money credited back to my c.c. a month and a half later. If you can check your c.c. balance on-line or by phone, do so within a few days of using W.U. on-line to make sure they charged the right amount!
