I think this is the crux of the matter right here. Selfishness within the old boys (and gals) club. Powerful people do not behave responsibly or worse, spend responsibly. Spending and bloat is out of control, and it's all for the good of the fat cats. Like I just said in a PM to someone about this, I have never in my life felt like a valued constituent in this society. I love this country, but I fear it may be falling apart. We have to go back to (and this is a secular statement): Love thy neighbor, targeted spending, heterogeneous debate and true representation. All politicians care about now is reelection, there are a precious few that truly care about any of us anymore. We'll either stand united or fall divided, and with the shrill tone these days I fear (peripherally) the latter. All I feel I can do about it now is keep putting out positive vibes and living each day the best I can. Hoping we can band together......
