Domestic: If worst comes to worst, throw a hissy fit. Assuming your meds are generic, they'll be hard-pressed to identify them. Shortly after 9/11, airport security tried to take my neighbor's medication - none of it marked or stored in prescription bottles. It was mostly heart condition meds, and she naturally freaked out when they tried to seize it. Upon realizing the potential wrongful death lawsuit, security gave her her meds back and sent her on her way.
International's different - just declare it, you're allowed to import up to 50 dosage units w/out a prescription. Of course, the law says it's up to the discretion of the customs officer, but they usually give you the benefit of the doubt. If you don't declare it, no matter how much, you're committing a federal crime - smuggling.
