My Mother lives in a little town that has a rather archaic rule. If you live within 1 square mile of the post office, your are not provided with home delivery...you must secure a PO Box and pick up your mail at the PO. So, even though she resides in a single family dwelling, all her mail must be addressed to a PO Box. It is amazing the problems/inconvenience that creates. Most of her packages need to be shipped to my house because many companies won't ship to PO Boxes. Lots of other issues as well. If you ar considering one, I would take some of the advice above and go through a Mail BOX company. LOTS easier.
