Re: Transferring Rx from an OP to regular pharmacy???
      09/11/02 01:53 AM

Well if I was dealing with a OP that I was fond of and that I felt sent me meds that were consistent with the kind of meds I would get from a "regular" in town pharmacy, there would be NO WAY I would risk transferring my meds from an online pharmacy to a local pharmacy due to the fear I had that I would lose the refills I had, as well as become blackballed by this particular OP pharmacy and my local pharmacy.

However, after complaining to United after the first and only shipment I ever received from them (quality was horrible and actually made me ill besides the fact that they did not even touch my pain level; Hydro 10/325 Watson 853 (?) I think that was the inscription on them....the yellow football ones) I was talked into staying with them until I got my next refill with the hopes that I just got a bad batch, or that it was all "in my head" due to the constant talk on this board regarding the "weak meds" posted by several other DB people.

However, my first instincts were right and these meds were exactly the same as the first shipment. So I decided to follow Uniteds rules and faxed my drivers license to them along with an explanation as to why I am having these meds transferred. This was completed today and I am very curious as to what happens from here. They really should stick to their word and follow through with the transfer. We will see tomorrow. Actually, Target was blown away by the demands put upon both the patient and the "new transferred pharmacy" just to get the meds transferred. They told me that they tried to call United about 4 times and they NEVER returned that call. Finally the Target Pharmacist got a hold of them and they were told the what was required of me in order to complete this transaction.

In my fax to United, I told them that I might try them again in a few months, with the hopes that their medications have changed for the better.

My question to all of you is this: If I do in fact hear some better news about the quality of the meds at United and decide to attempt a new Online Consultation, will they accept me as a client? I mean I was never rude to them, I just told them that at this time, their supply of meds were not sufficient for my pain management and I was ending up taking more than was initially prescribed, which really did nothing for the pain but instead made me sick and just ended up costing a whole lot of money.
So, am I in fact on their "Blacklist"?

Just curious you know. Because it seems that these OP's are going down everywhere you turn and it would be nice to have a back up plan if all else fails (of course, if they still send the same meds that I have been receiving now, I do not really care anyway)

Any feedback anyone can share will be greatly appreciated!

Now, one side note for all of you:
Please stay safe tomorrow, September 11, 2002. And although I am not usually a "religious person" I will in fact be saying prayers for all of the lives lost last year, and the families that are going to be suffering so much tomorrow. I can not do much to help many of these people, but I am willing to give blood, or do something that will possibly help ONE person . Be it give blood, volunteer at an old age home, or anything that is a miniscule attempt to show our country how much I appreciate my freedom and all that it has provided for me. I hope each and every one of you does the same. Be it hold the door for one person, let someone go in front of you in line at a store, or give up a parking spot to a perfect stranger. I know that these are petty compared to what our military volunteers have been doing for the last year, just to protect my freedom. But it if each and everyone of us do something small, it will have a huge impact.

Anyway, God Bless and have mercy on the souls of those that participated in this atrocity.
