Although I think it is unlikely that G-men will come looking for you, it is of course illegal to possess prescription medication without a prescription. The thing to do is either call your doctor and tell him/her you are in considerable pain and need more medication. (Afterall, if I read correctly, you had surgery!) OR schedule a consult with an OP and then you'll HAVE the script that makes you legal. Reading the threads will help you decide who to go with. Hope this helps.
