You may want to be careful about wholesale chargebacks. Chargebacks whould only be done in the rarest of circumstances, if at all. It should not be a regular part of your online ordering tools. It is NOT the proper response to a seizure. Seizure is not the responsibility of the OP. It's the chance we all take. Some OPs reship, some don't. But the reputable ones will tell up up front what they do--and you have to accept that. And the non-reputable ones..well, you shouldn't be doing business wth them.
Many of us NEVER chargeback. It should ONLY be done to a company that is deliberately scamming you, not because of a seizure. So, if it IS deliberate scamming, you should have known from the beginning that it was a big risk.....and NOT ordered. If you chargeback a normally good company you are doing damage not only to yourself, but to many others who order from that company. Here's some anti-chargeback reasons:
1) It will raise YOUR profile with cc companies--as one who often makes risky purchases. It may even raise your profile with the law, if you live in a conservative area. Not worth the risk.
2)If you're charging back because of a seizure, that's not fair to the company. YOU knew the risks going in. You run the risk of the company never doing business with you again (as has happened to some members).What if they're the only OP who carries what you need? Not worth the risk.
3)Some of these guys know eachother and you might be blackballed.(I've not heard of this happening..yet). Not worth the possible risk.
4)The cc company may then blackball the OP or IOP, thus making it harder for those of us who use that OP. In one case, we used to just use WU online. But an overeager customer chargedback(because of a non-delivery--seizure), and now we have to go to WU In Person, to buy from that company. Western Union and MoneyGram both have blackballed IOPs.Not worth the risk of getting everyone mad at you.
5) No one has a moral right to chargeback in these circumstances. You (and all of us) are not standing on the highest of moral grounds here. Certainly not higher than a reputable IOP-who is on legal grounds in his own country.
6)Again --profile raising. Any publicity--or noticeability--in this area is bad. Very Bad. Not only for you, but for all of us.
