by others, I just had to make a comment. If it were not for the French people back in the 1780s, there would probably BE NO USA as we know it. Please go back and read about the American Revolution and how WE were saved by French help.
One comment on the UN. Have you ever thought about the wars and killings the UN has probably stopped by its very existence, as a place for people/countries to gather and talk? Granted, it is bureaucratic and has not stopped all wars and killing. Humans will always do that to each other. The UN is run by people, for people, and so is prone to error. I really believe the UN serves a useful function and feel it has stopped more killing and wars than we can even begin to imagine.
I am not trying to make anyone angry. Just sharing my opinion. (since 1654 many of my ancestors have fought, died and lost body parts for my right to express that opinion).
