I have been taking hydro for about the past year for my back (several injuries and extra vertabrae in my lumbar area). I have only upped my dose one time about 5 mos. ago. Now, all of a sudden, everytime I take it, I get extremely nauseous. This has never happened before as I have a strong stomach. And don't tell me to take it with food because I always do and always have. My dr. gave me Prevacid thinking it was something called gastritis but that hasn't helped. I was just wondering if my body is rebelling against me for taking all the acetaminophen. Does anyone have any thoughts or ideas about why this is happening? I don't know which is worse now, the pain or the nauseau. Thanks alot to anyone with advice.
Libbo,
Just wondering if you've switched brands of hydro recently? Maybe the different fillers in generics are contributing to your gastric issues.
Hope you get to feeling better, I agree with you that nausea can be just as uncomfortable as pain.
