I have been taking hydro for about the past year for my back (several injuries and extra vertabrae in my lumbar area). I have only upped my dose one time about 5 mos. ago. Now, all of a sudden, everytime I take it, I get extremely nauseous. This has never happened before as I have a strong stomach. And don't tell me to take it with food because I always do and always have. My dr. gave me Prevacid thinking it was something called gastritis but that hasn't helped. I was just wondering if my body is rebelling against me for taking all the acetaminophen. Does anyone have any thoughts or ideas about why this is happening? I don't know which is worse now, the pain or the nauseau. Thanks alot to anyone with advice.
With me, it comes and goes. Usually I have no problems, but sometimes I'll take just one 5/500 Vicodin and get nauseated. Can't figure it out, it's unpredictable, can happen whether or not I've eaten, usually I don't eat before taking hydro and do fine. Weird.
Peace,
Jack
