The point of no return

I noticed that now that I have taken hydro and oxy that the "lower stregth meds" dont work anymore. I have been off hydeo and oxy long enough that my tolerance is lower. but is it true that once you go to stronger meds that the t-3s and darvocet dont work anymore. I would like to be able to go to them because docs are more liberal with them but is it true taht once you get a to them you cant get comfort from lower pain meds????
