I am having all 4 wisdon teeth extracted at this dental school that I have written about in past posts. Two of the teeth just need to be removed and two have erupted acording to the information I was given. They will put me to sleep for the procedure but when I wake and the drugs were off, will I really hurt? I have never had any teeth removed and I am very nervous about this.
One or two are causing horrible headaches. Even taking Avinza (morphine ) and 3-4 lortab 10's do nothing. The only thing that helps is plain tylenol. Go figure. But I have been living on the stuff for months.
So to any that wish to share , that would be appreciated. I read one poster said that she had a bad tooth removed and her entire personality changed from depression to hope. I hope this happens to me since I have been severly depresssed lately and the up coming holidays don't help.
I told my doctor about all the up coming dental work and he could have cared less. Basically, half my teeth will get crowns or other work. I also told him that I have been offerred pain killers so he doesn't find out that I double dipped even though we have no drug contract. It was just being curteous.
One other question. Am I going to be able to take my daily ration of pain killer pills or will I hurt to much or not be able to swallow them and should I ask for a liquid pain killer to take home?
If so, any suggestions. Sometimes dentists and doctors will take your recommendation and the staff at the dental school are very cool about pain killers for this operation. I also don't think what I take for my back will work since it does not help my headaches.
Thanks
