Hi in an ideal world teh 9mg would be divided into 3 doses of 3mg each. Thats for pain relief - but I think that with subutex it is approved for addiction treatment and must be a supervised dose - and who wants to go to the dr 3x per day to have him look at you take meds. Fore opiate addicts usin pain peds for thrills - a dose as high as 24mg a day is not unusual.
I just thank god that I can stop taking meds when I need to to prevent addiction - my quality of life goes into the toilet - but it beats lookinmg at the world from inside a (pill)bottle.
