This website in amazing and has helped me so much this last month. Last week my doctor gave me a prescription for Panlor. I had never heard of it. Searched DB and sure enough I find what I'm looking for. These pills seem very weak to me, weaker that hydrocodone (sp) 10 or 7.5. I had a prescription for mepergan forte (I'm not sure how to spell any of these medications) and it made me, well it made me too out of it, and not in a good way. I always loved that demerol shot after surgery, but the demerol in those mepergan pills must be affected by the other ingredients. I only took like five of them then had my prescription switched (to the panlor). I'm calling my doctor today to switch again. I want to be mostly pain free and take a medication that makes me feel good. That "good feeling" helps with the pain releif mentally I think.
Also I've tried codeine and does absolutely nothing, when I was a kid I remember taking codeine cough syrup and feeling on top of the world. That was over twenty years ago. Can a drug like codeine change?
Seems like for me hydro medications work best mentally and physically. I've never taken Oxycontin/ Oxycodone (I don't know the difference.
My doctor gave me five month prescription for the Panlor. The mepergan was only one month with no refill. I assume that has something to do with the schedule level.
I'm not an expert on medications yet, but I am becoming one. I have a nine year old autistic son who is currently on risperdal, buspar, remeron and some kind of tranquilizer for emergencies. We are constantly tweaking doses and changing his antidepressant. I'm switching topics, but my point is I'm trying to educate myself regarding my son's medications and also trying to keep myself in top functioning form through medication education.
