I never knew about efforts to create a "time-released" hydrocodone but it makes a lot of sense. The problem is that abusers would do the same thing they do with oxycontin. I also never knew DXM helped with the release rate of medication. I have heard that nexium or pepcid AC type drugs can slow the hydro absorbtion rate. This can be beneficial to those with inadequate supply. Good luck with your pain control.
