Re: Sensorship, the FCC, and what's going to happen..

I really wish I had an answer for you - but I don't. All I can say is 15 is MUCH too young to have a baby - and the father is only 17.

I married and had my one and only child at 19 - much much too young - was not pregnant when I married but didn't waste much time getting that way. Marriage only lasted a little over 2 years - too much responsibility for people that young. I was forced to drop out of college and become a secretary in order to support myself and son - with a lot of help from my upper middle class parents who were knashing their teeth every inch of the way - as in how could I have been so stupid. Let me tell you - it was a very difficult life. I remarried a much older man when my son was 7 - mainly because it was so difficult going it alone - and then went back to school and obtained my degrees. So to some extent I have "been there".....

Yes, I am glad I did NOT abort - abortion was illegal then - but I often think how different my life would have been had I not had all of these responsibilities dumped upon me at such an early age. My son and I really grew up together and to this day our relationship is more like brother/sister and he was kind of my mother's 4th child.

Many years have past - son is now a highly paid professional with two children of his own. I divorced second husband who was almost 20 years my senior - which I guess was one reason I married him - looking for a father figure for me and son.

I really think your sister should have an abortion - she has her entire life ahead of her - and a 15 year old and a 17 year old are NOT going to make it in today's world - education is the key to making a good life for yourself -and at 15 and 17 what kind of education and or jobs will they be able to get - and what kind of a life will this child have???? Things were much different almost 40 years ago when I had my son.

Perhaps that will give u a clue as to where I am coming from - and I truly retract anything I have ever said to you that could be construed as "nasty" - u and I are just always coming at each other from opposite ends of the spectrum.

Off to work I go - still at it when most of my colleagues my age have already retired - but still paying that price for getting off on the wrong foot at such an early age. Think about all I have said - it is not a matter of who has the "control" but of making a sensible decision in the best interests of your sister.

My best to you and your sister.........
