To be honest, I'm scared to death to ever try OxyContin! I take hydro 7.5/325 for back pain when needed. There are days when I just grin & bear it with the pain, and others where I rely on the hydro. I think I'm just afraid of having a dependency issue in general, since I'm already taking a benzo for anxiety & panic. I'm such a baby that I won't even take my anxiety meds until I know for a fact that the hydro's worn off, but just the other day I had a really scary experience.
I was coming back from a job interview in an area that I'm really not all that familiar with, took a wrong turn and that fast I was LOST. Since I had taken hydro the day before, I didn't take my anxiety meds that night, so the next day when I got lost, I went into full blown panic attack mode. It got to the point to where I had to pull over and call my sister to not only try to get directions home, but also to calm me down!! So I haven't taken hydro since the other day, and while I was feeling the pain today, I just couldn't break down and take one, because tomorrow's the day I find out if I have the job and 2nd interview with this place. I don't even know if it's safe to take a benzo say, 10 hours after you took a hydro. But I'm going off topic, yet again, sorry everyone...
Isn't Oxycodone Percocet? If that's the case, then yes, I had them once after having a wisdom tooth extracted and they made me puke my guts up. Others have said the same about hydro, but hydro doesn't affect me that way and I would rather have that for pain than Percocet any day. JMO, of course.
