I am on SSI and FIA (ADC) for the kids I have worked before so don’t know why I did not get the disability. You don’t need to have the doctor fill out anything for you they will talk to your doctor for you and get anything they may need I was turned down the first time because they sent me to see a psychiatrist watch said I was fine well I was not trying to say anything about needing mental health help so don’t know why they sent me to him they should have scent me to see a doctor as in most cases they will also send you to see one of their doctors (this does not cost you anything)
So when I replied they sent me to a MD and I got it I did this at a time I was not with hubby years ago if you need help right away and have kids you can go to ACD office here it is called FIA. Let them know you are trying to get on disability
Here you have to be working to get FIA so if they know that you are trying to get disability they do not make you work if you cannot work. I am not on the FIA now because I am back with hubby but I do still get the SSI.it is not ez to get sometime they like to tell you no hopping you will go away but everyone I have know on it had to try a few times to get it. I am in very bad heath with a long list of thing wrong with me and it was hard to get my hubbys dad was dieing of cancer and still had a hard time getting it so do not give up also they do give you back pay from they day you first try to get it watch does help I got about $10,000 in back pay I know you have to go in every few years to have a review to make sure you still need it but it been many years for me and have never had to go yet .
I get a check on my oldest kid from her dad but I get nothing for them from me but you can get the ADC on the kids
