So, apparently there are some OP's who do things by the books and cross reference patients names, so if you feel uncomfortable ordering from different OP's for the same meds, just be aware that there are some out there who check into people's records. There's no law that I know of that says that you can't switch OP's, but ordering the same meds from several OP's at once is just asking for trouble, if you ask me. JMO, though.

Is that legal under HIPAA? I just read my pharmacy's privacy policy, it seems like they can only share your info for medical care reasons, not to prevent double dipping. I've heard here on DB that walgreens and eckerds share, but is there any proof? I know for a fact that most or all reputable, records ops do not share patient information with other ops.
