I have been accepted as a patient to the dental school because one the second evaluation they found I needed the following
1. Five Crowns _Gold is $200 a Best if kept off the board! and procelan is $300. I will go with gold in the back of my mouth for durability.
2. A large cavity in front of the tooth that was abscessed (which is doing ok but I now have a sore to the left of the receded gum and an older dentist looked at the gum and siad it was ok. Don't know what they have plans for the gum at this point)
3. They want to yank either one or both of left side wisdom teeth. Going to save up the pain killers.
4. Guess they will do a scaling on my gums or deep cleaning though they did not mention it but I think that is the first thing they do for new patients.
The estimated total with porcelean crwons which are the most expensive for some reason si $1800.00
If that is truley the total price and less for gold Best if kept off the board and they take care of the gum problem, that is a great price. That is a little more than two procelan crowns at two private dentists that I called.
The drwaback is that they want to wait until the first of the year since it is a teaching program.
The only thing that bothers me (no pun) is the sore or blister if you want to call it) immediately next to the receded gum. I pray that I have not done a lot of damage waiting to have the abcessed tooth worked on but finances just would not permit it at a private endo dentist.
