I was on the patch for about 2 months until the 50 unit patches became unavailable in the Dallas area due to manufacturing prblems involving the 75 unit patches and people were using a 50 unit patch in conjunction with a 25 unit one.

The patch was unconfortable, kept coming off, the 50 micr unit actually leaked one me twice. It never lasted the promised 72 hours and did not replace the 4 lortab 10/325 I was taking before the patch.

Some people do like them and doctors like to prescribe them since they feel that their is less chance for abuse.

Personally, I did not like the patch at all. I posted several threads concerning the patch. None of the people who posted to my thread like them except for two people out of about 2 dozen.

If you want a class two pain killer, you might try the newest one that I know of and I have been taking it called Avinza which is time release morphine thatlast 24 hours a pill. The dosage I take is 60 mgs. The thing about the capsule is that is is the only one designed for long term chronic pain use.

BTW. The dosage goes up to 1660 mgs. Also any type of morphine does have a quicker tolerance build up than the hydro.
