Well, I was under the impression that most of the domestic OP's have some sort of "cross referencing" database programs, but since most of these OP's are obviously only in it for the money, I'm sure that a lot of them either don't check or overlook people who order the same medications from different OP's on or around the same time.
Funny you should bring it up, though, b/c my sister recently got "busted" by an OP for trying to order Norco 10/325's before the scheduled refill she was supposed to get from another OP. She paid the consult fee, and it took them 2 days to get back to her, and they told her that they'd be happy to fill her order, but not before the 5 day waiting period was up on her order from the other OP.
The doctor she consulted with even warned her not to try to refill with with the other OP, because they had already been in touch with the people from that OP and they weren't going to give her another refill if she ordered from them.
So, apparently there are some OP's who do things by the books and cross reference patients names, so if you feel uncomfortable ordering from different OP's for the same meds, just be aware that there are some out there who check into people's records. There's no law that I know of that says that you can't switch OP's, but ordering the same meds from several OP's at once is just asking for trouble, if you ask me. JMO, though.
