I thought it was common practice for MDs to have you sign a "contract" that you will not seek pain medication from another MD while under his/her care. I feel that If your dr is giving you enough medication, you have no need to seek it elsewhere. I had a great pain dr, but my schedule changed and I couldn't manage to get to his office anymore. It took me forever to find him and I certainly did not want to go through what I went through to find another. That is when I found out about on line pharmacies. Anyway, yea - I had to sign one of those when my pain doc first started treating me. I had no problem signing because as stated in thread above - if you don't, you don't get any pain meds, and also, he gave me enough pain medicine so I never felt the need to look elsewhere.
