just some interesting trivia

drugs that end in codone such as hydrocodone and oxycodone have a substitution on the codeine skeleton

drugs that end in morphone such as hydromorphone and oxymorphone have a substitution on the morphine skeleton

codeine is more absorbable orally than morphine, and as expected, the simi-synthetics of codeine ("codones")turned out to be more absorbable than the semi-synthetics of morphine ("morphones")
