I replied to a PM and thought it might apply and be helpful to other newbies. I've changed the body of the message considerably from it's original form. I am not a "real" veteran as I just joined the board around the first of May.
Firstly about the VIP board.
The VIP board allows for a broader range of discussion and a few perks. VIP subscribers have access to a database of drug prices, who offers it/ how much. Also you are eligible for discounts from participating OPs. And DB will mediate disputes that you may run into with some companies. It's sort of a strength in numbers thing. It offers you their leverage.I joined the VIP board about 3 or 4 weeks after registering here. Mostly because the VIP membership money helps to keep the freeboard up and running. I had never found a place like this on the world wide web and I think it's a great resource.
My best advice is to take some time and read the threads. You will learn a lot of information about the subjects and about other posters. Also, I would caution you to use discretion when posting about your experiences. By that I mean refrain from posting anything that may incriminate yourself.
Personally I don't have alot of experience with different OP's.
You need to use caution and try to use only one OP at a time. If you try to get the same drug from 2,3,or4 different sources (at the same time) and get caught doing that you will be blacklisted from the OPs. It's called double dipping.
If you try an OP and are dissatisfied, my suggestion is to read about other peoples experiences and arm yourself with as much information as possible before you make a decision. OPs change names, change pharmacies, and sometimes fold. Keep up with the latest news and you'll be fine. Don't let me scare you...it's not all bad.
I am sure you will find relief with the information provided on the board. I can't stress enough the importance of reading the threads.
In my opinion, because this is a public board you should always remember that anybody has access to read what you write about yourself. Computers compute and store data that is retrievable, keep that in mind.
Some people register here and may have motives much removed from personal pain relief. They may work for an OP, talking a reputable OP down and a new one UP...trying to manipulate and sway sales. Never assume you "know" who you are talking to.
Read all you can. You can read every post ever written by a poster if you go into their profile.
DB has said much of this already. Other members have also.
I just feel after seeing so many new people this might be timely.
I certainly hope other members will share their insights here.
Peace,
