Good point, Flea. I found a lot of these stories pretty amusing, too, but when it all comes down to it, none of us should be put in a position to where we have to hide our meds. I guess it's just a given that there are always going to be people around that aren't very trustworthy when it comes to this subject.
I don't normally go to great lengths to hide my meds, I keep them in my bedroom, in the bottle, in the top drawer of my desk. That doesn't mean I haven't been ripped off, though.
My supposed "best" friend stole 10 xanax off of me once, as far as I know. I really never checked before I caught her. She was going through a nasty break-up with her abusive boyfriend and took them all the same night in a "suicide" attempt, but it was more an attention stunt than anything else. He called me to flip out on me for "giving" her the pills. Needless to say, I was pretty mad at her, and I make it a point to hide my meds when I know she's coming over.
The most pathetic part about the whole mess? We were both 28 when this happened, although it reeks of all the melodrama of an afterschool special...lol.
All kidding aside, it sucks to have to hide my meds at all, but it's just something I have to do around certain people. After reading some of the stories in this thread, I can tell we're all in the same boat. I've used the tampon box before, but my main spot is inside the zipper compartment of an old purse in my closet. After reading a few posts on here, I'm rethinking that spot though...
