I couldn't agree with you more,everyones fault but the parents.....blah blah blah. If I hear that anymore I will soon be on the news. I have teens also, I am very involved and scrutinize everything. I'm not over protective I'm interactive ... YOU HAVE TO BE NOW DAYS!!! Parents are so afraid to tell there kids NO or interfere with their kids social life for fear of retalation and then use it as an excuse for a feble atempt of parental love it makes me ill! I know where mine are ,who they are with,and what they are doing! because I love them, I want them to have friends and have fun but I too remember being 17 once upon a time ( I never had a CC or even access to one).
my heart goes out the the family for their loss,but mostly because THEY chose to be liberal and "COOL" parents and their poor parental judgement cost them their child (what a waste).
Sorry to ramble but it makes me so angry that my ligitimate care for my ligitimate pain is now in jepordy because they refused to be truly loving parents.
