Flaming/Flame Wars
Flaming is reacting to someone's board posting or PM in a hostile manner by publicly chastising the person or bombarding the person with nasty posts or PM's. Flaming may occur to users that engage in behavior that violates what is considered proper board netiquette. A flame war occurs when two or more users flame each other in an escalating manner that threatens to continue unabated. If you notice a flame war developing just notify the moderator or adminitrator and let them handle it. Do not take part in flame wars. If you do you will be banned even if you did not start it :-)

Personally, Booker, I like meditation to take me to that calm, serene place. Monday-Friday I have the whole place to myself during the day and I have the peace and quiet, along with the time to do some deep meditation. At first, trying to meditate can be a very difficult thing to accomplish, due to background noises, bright lighting, and/or thoughts that we don't know how to quell. With a little bit of practice, it can be done. You can pick up books at the library about different methods of meditation.
The way that I enjoy meditating is having some lit candles for a soothing atmosphere and incense burning for the aromatherapy. I can't sit cross-legged, as some think it's the necessary way to sit for meditation, but it's really a matter of personal choice and how fit your body is for this way of sitting. I sit up against my bed, with a pillow for support for my back, and legs outstretched in front of me. I keep my posture straight and poise my hands in an upward position. I allow all thoughts to leave me as I relax my body and take slow, deep breaths. With each breath, I am breathing out the toxic negatives within. I start to let each part of my body relax, hands, arms, shoulders, neck, back, legs, etc. I envision myself a tree with the roots firmly planted in the soil and that I'm absorbing the sun's rays. I am one with the world as I envision a picturesque sky of blue, red, orange, and purple hues. Then I find I'm at my place and almost don't want to come back from the state that I'm in. It's completely refreshing, relaxing, and helps get me through the day. It also helps me in realizing the important things in life.
Deep meditation is generally an hour or longer. For shorter, pick-me-ups, 15-20 minutes is great. And one of the great things about meditation is that once you've mastered it, you can find yourself easily able to do it just about anywhere, when you need to.
