OK people, I went to Mexico 3 months ago, went to Playa Del Carmen which is 20 miles south of Cancun. We stayed at an all-inclusive resort, and we did go into town a few times. There are plenty of Pharmacies, there right on the sides of the streets and in stores like here in the back of supermarkets. U do not need a prescription to purchase meds. I walked right into one and asked for pain medication, it was obvious they knew what we Americans are looking for. I asked for percocet, they do not have that since it is a U.S. drug. They gave me 30 percodan for 60 dollars. No medicine bottles, just blotter pop outs. It is'nt illegal to purchase meds there, however it is illegal to bring them back to the States. If u decide to transport them back, u need to put them in a prescription bottle from home, with your name and imfo on the bottle in case they look through your lugguge, which they randomly do. Dont try to bargain with them on the price, they get very testie and will tell u to GET!!
