Go to the DR! My 80 yo dad got shingles last year and had to go to the ER because it was a weekend. The docs seem to realize how unbearable it is b/c they gave him like 60 vicodin in addition to the antivirals. It took so long to get better, he had a few more scrips for vicodin from his tight fisted PCP before he ended up on neurontin.
Depending on where it is though, it can cause permanent damage to your nerves or your eyes. Please get it looked at.
